India should be branded 'Racist Country'

Where in the world would you find ever increasing sales of make-believe beauty cosmetics like "Fair Ever" , "Fair and Lovely" , "Fair and handsome" or the matrimony in a newspaper specifying colour (say fair or very fair beautiful girl)as the most important factor for the selection of the bride or every college girl bleaching her face twice a month just for the sake of making heads turn or being denied a membership of elite clubs in a college ... I'd say only in India. I just can't seem to understand that India is branded a very tolerant nation .And another point to be noted is that all of the above mostly is limited to the so-called fairer sex(I'd like to kick whosoever coined this name).
Most people in India would have watched the movie 'Sivaji' , the only Rajinikanth movie that has had me disapproving .The movie has a scene wherein Shreya(the not-so-important)heroine denies to accept Rajini's proposal , just because .....aww c'mon guess what ? Cuz he's dark-skinned ... I'd expected him to say "You stupid girl , you should hate/like me cuz of what I am and not my skin" but instead he goes for a "fast track beauty skin lighting treatment (which happens to be computer geeks' achievment)" and when he's back .. voila ,she goes ga-ga over him damn !I believe that a superstar like Rajinikanth who's the heart throbe of many should portray better or rather a super-good habits and thoughts.(Strangely , Rajini (totally) bald for her husband doesn't seem to bother her at all).
Not many years back , the only requirement for a ticket to Bollywood was 'FAIR girl with a reasonably good body'. But I guess the trend's now changing , atlest a little if not rapidly.
People abroad say Germans ,French (I can associate with them cuz I know a quite a number of 'em)they love our tan .. Many a times I've recieved compliments like "Hey , you have a nice tan there !" or "U Look good !" or "You've gotta a really pretty smile" ...well... I can count the number of Indians who've told me that .
On certain occasions , when we (German friends and I)get down to discussions like this , they ask me just this one simple question I can't seem to answer ,"You guys distinguish (categorize) colour amongst yourselves ??? Then y do you move the court in other countries (Britain, US)?? Y do say we are being discriminated ?"

Can any of you answer this question ??? I'll be happy to forward your answers to them !
